Pre Order Policy
1. The Pre-Order Contract
When you place a pre-order with us, you are entering into an agreement to reserve upcoming products before their official market release. Due to strict manufacturing limits, non-reimbursable distributor allocation structures, and high market value volatility native to collectible trading cards, all pre-orders are subject to the specific deposit conditions outlined below.
2. Reservation Fee & Non-Refundable Deposit (NRD)
Deposit Amount: On some products, to secure your allocation, a deposit of 10% of the total item value is required at checkout. This is explicitly designated as a Non-Refundable Deposit (NRD).
Justification of the NRD: This deposit does not act as an arbitrary penalty. It constitutes a genuine, proportionate pre-estimate of our direct administrative expenses, card network transaction fees, and the unrecoverable distributor allocation commitments incurred by our business to secure your product.
Cancellation by Customer: If you choose to cancel your pre-order at any time prior to shipment, we reserve the right to retain this 10% deposit to cover the aforementioned direct losses. The remaining balance (if paid) of your payment will be refunded immediately to your original payment method.
3. Estimated Release Dates & Delays
Timeline Transparency: All estimated release windows displayed on our product pages are provided directly by the manufacturers. These dates are estimates and are subject to production or shipping changes beyond our control.
Extended Delays: In compliance with the Consumer Contracts Regulations, if a product release is delayed by more than 30 days beyond the originally stated estimated release, you retain the right to cancel the order and receive a 100% full refund of all monies paid, including your deposit, if made.
4. Supply Shortages and Distributor Allocations
Our Commitment: We try to secure 100% of our ordered stock. However, trading card manufacturers can cut or wave distributor allocations unpredictably. We will only ever release 50% of expected allocation based on previous allocations and/or distributor launch allocation predictions.
Order Fulfillment: In the event of manufacturer product shortages, orders will be strictly fulfilled chronologically based on the date and time the pre-order was placed.
Seller Cancellation Refund: If we are entirely unable to fulfill your reservation due to supply shortages, Drift Cards will cancel your order and issue a 100% full refund. This includes the immediate return of your reservation deposit if paid. No administrative or processing fees will be withheld if we cannot supply your item.
5. Final Balance Payments
Payment Collection: If you opted for a partial deposit split-payment, the remaining balance of 90% will be due and you will be emailed with a link to pay the balance in full.
Failure to Pay: Failure to settle the final invoice balance within 72 hours of email notification will result in the forfeiture of your allocation. The product will be released back into public inventory, and your original deposit will be retained to cover loss of sale costs.
